A Survivor Story: Using Her Diagnosis To Spread Awareness

Breast cancer survivor Jennifer has used her experience to attempt to spread awareness and encourage early detection in other women. Diagnosed at 27 years old while she was pregnant with her first child, Jennifer began her treatment and her journey with the disease. A few years later, while pregnant with her second child, she had a scare in her other breast, and had it removed. She used her experience with breast cancer to collaborate with three women and write a book about their shared struggles with the disease.

Watch as Jennifer shares her story, and how she dealt with the loss of friends who also suffered from breast cancer. She works hard every day to honor and remember her lost friends by spreading awareness.
