It’s not a case of unlucky genetics. African American women often have less access to mammograms and therefore are diagnosed later the later stages of cancer when it’s more difficult to treat and beat.
Mammograms are vital to early detection and giving women of all racial and ethnic backgrounds a fighting chance against breast cancer.
