Her Wedding Ceremony Was Interrupted By A Voice In The Back, Leaving This Bride In Tears All Day

Anyone who’s ever been married knows planning a wedding is lots of work. Still, people – brides in particular – take special care to plan every detail up front to avoid any unpleasant surprises on the big day.
So when Neil and Tricia Swan exchanged their vows in front of the alter, exchanging their vows in front of family and friends, the couple struggled to hold back tears. Suddenly, a boomed from the back of the chapel, interrupting their vows.
Fortunately, the interruption didn’t stem from a jilted lover protesting their union, but rather the beginnings of an elegant flash mob. Suddenly, audience members – including a number of local celebrities – stood up one after one, singing different parts of How Sweet Thou Art.
This definitely wasn’t in Tricia’s script, and at first the new bride wasn’t sure what was happening. But as guests-turned-singers gathered around the pulpit, the new couple clearly came to relish this sweet surprise.
“What a surprise this was for the bride and groom just after they exchanged their marriage vows at their wedding in Kincasslagh, Co. Donegal,” organizers wrote of the 2017 wedding video, which quickly went viral. “The Bride and Groom – Neil and Tricia Swan, as well as many members of the congregation, were left in tears and had everybody on their feet at the end.”
The Internet was similarly wracked with emotion over this touching display, which has since been viewed millions of times on YouTube. “I’m in tears. That was BEAUTIFUL. I love that hymnal. God bless the couple and may you have a wonderful life with all the best of wishes,” one user wrote.
“Whenever I watch this video, I keep tissues handy as I cry so much in joy to see how we are one in communion with the Lord. God Bless us all. God Bless especially the young couple Bride and Bridegroom, may they have a wonderful married life. Many grateful thanks for posting this beautiful video.”
