These Popular Cartoon Characters Went Bald To Support Kids With Cancer

In Brazil, cartoon characters went through a small transformation: popular episodes of cartoon shows were re-aired with the same storyline — but with bald characters. Behind the idea was the Brazilian childhood cancer advocacy organization GRAACC. They did not announce an explanation for the cartoons’ new look when they aired, to mirror the idea that children going through cancer shouldn’t have to explain what they’re going through if they don’t want to.

The trend soon went international, expanding to characters like Hello Kitty, Snoopy, and Garfield. Watch the video to see more!
