Being An Advocate

At age 43, my mom found a lump in her right breast. She insisted it was just a cyst, and didn’t want to go to the doctor. My sisters and I made an appointment for her, and after much discussion, she agreed to go. It was cancer. She was lucky to only need a lumpectomy and radiation. She is now 67, and has been cancer free since the procedure. But what would have been the outcome if she continued to ignore the lump?
Be an advocate and supporter for all the women in your life! Love you, Mom!
