Benching For Breast Cancer

A little friendly competition can go a long way. In December, the sixth annual Benching For Breast Cancer event took place at the College of the Holy Cross. Over 500 students participated, and prizes was awarded to whoever benched the most, as well as smaller prizes in other categories like best costume. There were several breast cancer survivors in attendance, and a remembrance wall titled “Who Do You Bench For?” where participants could scrawl the names of loved ones affected by cancer. The entire event was an upbeat and interactive way to get people involved in raising money for breast cancer. All proceeds went to Pink Revolution, a local breast cancer awareness alliance.
