Woman Discovers Something Horrifying Hiding Between The Clothing Racks While Shopping

Can you count how many times you’ve shopped for clothes with the intention of immediately wearing them? Like, you actually shop for clothes and then you swap clothes in the changing/fitting room?

And no, it’s not because you’re trying to hide from the cops or whatever (we hope) – sometimes, there’s just an emergency, like you horrendously spilled something on your clothes, or maybe a friend announced a certain theme for a party you’re already on your way to. (I may or may not be speaking from experience.)

It’s definitely not recommended to wear anything straight from the store, even if some stores can steam iron your items before you put them on. But one viral video definitely puts this action in a solid spot in the no-no zone.

With over 16M views, one woman posted a spine-tingling discovery on TikTok.

Initially thinking that it was just cobwebs, Ellen Danz started recording while she was browsing for some tops in a well-known store.

“Can we talk about the cobwebs that are literally…what – what is going on?” she said while attempting to remove some of the webs.

After about 4 or 5 hangers, she finally discovered the owner of the cobwebs.

What makes this video all the more terrifying is the spider isn’t just an ordinary house spider. No, it’s a dangerous black widow.

Though a black widow’s bite is rarely fatal, it’s still notoriously feared because it can cause muscle aches, nausea, and even breathing difficulties, because their venom is said to be 15 times stronger than a rattlesnake’s, according to National Geographic.

“Contrary to popular belief, most people who are bitten suffer no serious damage — let alone death. But bites can be fatal — usually to small children, the elderly, or the infirm,” they said.

Ellen understandably screamed out of shock and (probably) disgust once she uncovered the black widow hiding in between the clothes. And the video abruptly ends there.

Ellen provided an update in the comments section and mentioned that the store employees also screamed when they saw the spider, and instead of burning the whole store down like the internet’s reflex to anything spider-related, they just set her free.

Another user replied under this update and said, “I hope you’re just saying that to make insect lovers feel better.”

Hey, if it was minding its own business (actually, not really, because, to be fair, it was residing in a commercial establishment), it deserves to be set free. Thankfully, the store has since been shut down, but we can’t guarantee you won’t find things like this in other locations. Be careful with those new clothes, people!

Here’s a video of how they set the spider free.
