There are plenty of famous people who consider breast cancer a cause that is near and dear to their hearts. So much so that they have personally donated to awareness campaigns and research funding or evenhosted charityevents. Here are a few of those celebs that have raised money for breast cancer-related causes:
This “Glee” star is known for her fabulous red carpet fashions. According to US Magazine, in November 2014 Lea Michellepartnered with Sharity.org, a charity that sells celebrity clothing and donates the proceeds to the charity of their choice. Michele sold three outfits to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The young starlet had previously raised money for breast cancer in October 2014 when she worked with Evian to increaseawareness. The actress offered up a white Calvin Klein Collection tuxedo jumpsuit, a purple pleated sweetheart-neckline watercolor gown and a red strapless dress, raising a total of $1,585 for the charity.
Famous singer and breast cancer survivor Sheryl Crow partnered with Chateau St. Jean, a winery in Kenwood, California in October 2014. For the entire month, $1 of every bottle sold went to breast cancer charities. The campaign, called Notes for Hope, is part of her ongoing partnership with the winery. According to ABC News, Crow had minimally invasive surgery and radiation treatment for breast cancer in 2006 and has been healthy since.
According to Rolling Stone, famous country star Jason Aldean lost his friendMelissa Morstad, to breast cancer when she was only 29-years-old. In 2006, Aldean hosted the first Concert for the Cure to raise money for breast cancer awareness and research programs. Since then, he has held the concert every year and raised thousands of dollars in honor of his friend. In 2015 the singer is holding the 10th annual concert on October 24 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
