While Valentine’s Day is often a time that couples show love for one another, the day holds extra meaning for Morty and Alice since they met at a Valentine’s Day party back in 1948.

Almost exactly three years later, the two married on February 4th, 1951 and have enjoyed a rich and loving life together ever since.

Naturally, people want to know their secret to a lasting marriage and Morty and Alice were more than happy to share their opinions.

According to ABC 7, Alice claims the key to a happy and lasting marriage is ensuring that your spouse is always your best friend. Morty agreed, saying it’s important to grow together instead of apart during life’s many phases and challenges.

Alice added that happy and lasting relationships require both people to have a strong sense of individuality and be willing to blend together and work together.
