Breast Cancer Treatment Can Leave Patients’ Skin So Irritated — But This May Help

Being a radiation oncologist and a woman herself, Dr. Katie Deming could empathize when she saw her breast cancer patients face problems with lingerie. Radiation treatment left their skin sensitive and burnt, causing even the touch of a cotton shirt to be painful. There had to be a way to help.

Seeing that there were no good options available on the market, Dr. Deming decided to take matters in her own hands. She teamed up with cancer survivor Dana Donofree, founder of AnaOno Intimates, to create the Makemerry collection — a line of lingerie specially designed for women with breast cancer.

With features like a wire-free design, hidden seams, removable straps and a special soft modal spandex fabric, the collection is designed for the needs of breast cancer survivors. It seamlessly marries functionality and beauty.
