After Her Husband Died From Cancer, One Woman Began Raising Awareness in a Unique Way

When Amy Blansit lost her husband Drew to colon cancer, she and her two children were devastated. Then, almost by chance, she got the idea to create something that — in her own words — would be a part of him, and keep her family a part of him. Thus, the makeup company Solely Jolie was born. Amy’s unique creation, The Solely Jolie Makeup Palette, is a novel solution to cleaning makeup brushes without using water. In addition to honoring her husband, the company also donates a percentage of the proceeds from each sale to colon cancer awareness and research.
