Daughter Sings Taylor Swift With Her Dying Mother To Celebrate Their Last Christmas Together

Happiness is something that all of us deserve, but there are times when it can be difficult to keep your chin up.

When it seems as if the weight of the world is on your shoulders, you might feel as if there is nothing that can lighten the load.

Then again, there are some people who will smile in the face of the most difficult decisions. Such is the case with Kelsey Fry, who lives by the motto to “choose joy.”

Kelsey not only experiences joy in her own life, but she also likes sharing it with others on TikTok. That includes one video that got hundreds of thousands of people to like it, and they loved it for the right reason.

In the video, you can see Kelsey dancing with her mother, Christie Geraty. At the time, Kelsey is dancing and singing to a Taylor Swift song, ‘The Best Day.’ In the end, the mother and daughter hug and kiss each other.

She also shares a message along with the video: “I know a lot of people don’t understand the Taylor Swift obsession, but her lyrics have gotten me through every season of my life, including this last Christmas with my mama.”

Kelsey may share joy with others, but she has gone through a lot of difficulties. In speaking with Good Morning America, she listed some of the unfortunate events that have occurred recently.

She is about to lose her mother to cancer, and her 16-year-old brother also passed away. Her youngest son, Sheppard, was diagnosed with a fatal liver disease.

Even though she is struggling with a lot of grief, she continues to live by the words that are permanently etched on her arm, “Choose Joy.”

She has even helped other parents to find joy by launching a nonprofit, Shepherd’s Little Sheep. What she does in the video she shared has helped many people to smile in the face of difficult times.
