Man Gets Blasted for Not Wanting Kids to Play in a Dog’s Bathroom

When a man sees the neighbor’s dog using his [artificial] grass as a toilet, he freaks out, but his family feels he crossed the line.

If you live in a neighborhood where dogs are in most homes, you are going to see people walking their dogs almost all the time. This is especially true in the mornings before work and in the evenings before we settle in.

Most people don’t really give it much thought. They take their dog out for some exercise, and if they are responsible, they bring some bags along with them to clean up after their dogs.

Most dog owners accept this fact, and many that walk their dogs don’t give it a second thought. They feel that as long as they clean up after their dog, no one has the right to complain.

Then again, there are some people who are very particular about their lawn, and this includes the man who posted on Reddit. He had quite a story to tell.

The Argument Begins

First of all, the man has a fake lawn, so it doesn’t act like a real lawn. In other words, it doesn’t soak things up as nicely when dogs use it as a public toilet.

When the man was out one evening, he saw another guy walking his dog. As they passed his yard, they stopped so the dog could relieve itself in his yard.

Instantly, the property owner was up in arms, freaking out and shouting obscenities at the dog walker.

The man walking the dog told him he would clean it up and went on to say that he cleans up every time his dog poops in his yard.

By this point, the property owner was irate, and he told him, “I don’t care if you clean it up.  My young kids play in the grass, like they are now, and I don’t want them playing in dog [poop].”

Things Begin To Escalate

The man with a dog continued to try to defend himself, saying he picks everything up until nothing is left behind.

The property owner said there was still some residue left and the dog had peed in his yard. He asked the dog owner, “Are you spraying my yard down?”

He then went on to tell the man to never let his dog do his business in his yard again. He told him: “I don’t have a dog, I don’t want dog problems affecting my life.”

After this heated exchange, the dog owner tells him that he could have asked nicely and ended up firing back with some heated thoughts of his own.

When they parted, the property owner yelled that he hopes he never sees the man again.

People Weigh In On His Behavior

His wife saw the altercation and told him he was too aggressive, especially with the kids around.

Since he posted this question on Reddit, he was asking for comments. Perhaps he was surprised that the majority of the people thought he was in the wrong.

They even asked him what he does when a bird flies over and poops in his yard. Or how he handles squirrels or other animals that happen to be in the area.

He did edit his post to say that he lives in an area without any wildlife and even puts out cat prevention measures to keep them away.

In the end, I think we learn something important from this post.

First of all, this guy definitely doesn’t like animals pooping in his yard.

Secondly, you can please some of the people some of the time but you can’t please all of the people all of the time.
