With all that’s going on in the world, people could use a little more beauty, a reason to smile, a glimmer of hope – and that’s what one hospital employee offered to everyone in the lobby of the University of Utah Health hospital.
Many hospitals are full of patients, but suffering from a lack of staff. The healthcare workers that do show up are often burnt out and tired from the past year and a half.
Despite that, many show up and give it their all anyway, and that’s what phlebotomist Teva Martinson did.
He works drawing blood for the University of Utah Health hosptial, but he has other passions on the side, such as ballet.
On August 31, 2021, Martinson combined his hospital career and his passion for ballet into one beautiful moment when he performed to Ballade Pour Adeline being played on the lobby piano.
A video captured the moment, and you can see Martinson walking up to the piano and slipping off his shoes.
As Ballade Pour Adeline begins to play, Martinson, still in his scrubs, breaks into a ballet performance worthy of a stage.
After being shared on Twitter, the video quickly went viral as people couldn’t get enough of the beautiful moment.
