Joe Burrow Pays For 20 Struggling Families To Get Mental Health Care

Joe Burrow is perhaps best known for being the quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals but he is also known by many for giving to the community as well.

His parents were recently on “The Mental Game Podcast” and revealed that their son was offering mental health support through the Joe Burrow Foundation.

In an effort to help others in the community, the foundation first gave contributions to about 20 families. Those families were going to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital but were at risk of losing mental health services.

According to Joe Burrow’s mother, Robin, they were going to lose their services because they were behind on their bills.

She also spoke about how her son understood the importance of mental health support from the time he was young. As an educator, she played a big role in that because she would speak to him about others who were struggling when she came home from work.

Robin feels as if her son took those stories to heart. Now he has the opportunity to help others who are “underprivileged and underserved” through his foundation.

Another focus of the foundation, according to his father, is food insecurity. That is an issue that can also lead to poor mental health and he saw those things growing up.

His father felt that Joe just wanted to make a difference and he is able to do it with this foundation.
