After being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 30, breast cancer survivor Genae Girard, was asked if she’d like to take a test to determine if she would test positive for the BRCA 1 or BRCA 2 gene. With a history of breast cancer in her family, Genae felt it was a good idea at the time.
