Look for fruits and vegetables with vivid color because they contain the most nutrients. Cooking veggies will reduce the amount of nutrients that you gain from eating them. According to the National Cancer Institute, women who exercise at least four hours a week lower their risk of breast cancer. This may be most effective in women who have not undergone menopause. The American Cancer Society and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that cancer survivors exercise moderately for 150 minutes and partake in two or more strength-training sessions or work out intensely for 75 minutes weekly to lessen the likelihood that their cancer will come back.
