Tragically, hospital bureaucracy kept Michele waiting two weeks for an appointment, despite her best efforts to get in sooner. When she finally had the mammogram, she was told to stay for an MRI — which showed that Stage 4 metastatic cancer had already spread throughout her body. Michele was given 11 months to live.
