Exercise has long been touted as a good way to support a healthy lifestyle, and now there is new information that supports its efficacy. New research published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology tested yoga's impact on mood, inflammation and fatigue in breast cancer patients.
According to HealthDay, up to 60 percent of cancer survivors report trouble sleeping. The report, conducted by researchers from Ohio State University, found that yoga can limit fatigue and inflammation when practiced regularly.
The study provided yoga exercise to a group of women and put another set of people on a workout waiting list.After three months, the participants in the fitness group reported being able to sleep better due to increased vitality. After six months,the women who took part in yoga regularly reported experiencing60 percent less fatigue and 13 to 20 percent less inflammation than those who did not receivethe training.
According to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, yoga can be used to help reduce back pain and improve body function. Additionally, it might help lower stress through relieving anxiety, depression and insomnia symptoms.Whizzco
