“I Don’t Have Time For Cancer” Says Pregnant Mom!Paul
Back in 2012, Barbara Vlachos was recently married and expecting their first child. Doctors found a lump in her breast but since there was no history in her family, it was never biopsed, but the doctors kept an eye on it.
About a year and a half later, Barbara was about a month away from having her second baby when she was told she had breast cancer. “I don’t have time for cancer…that’s what I said. It wasn’t part of my plan so I kind of rejected the information.” She was induced two weeks early and started chemo after about two months of nursing. Happily, she is in remission and doing well. “It definitely made me stronger and it made my love for my family and my children so much more intense. Just my gratitude for people in my life.”
