There is a fashionable way to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month – just buy pink lashes. The company CarLashes has been making headlight accessories since 2010. This October, they have launched the Wink Pink campaign, which will donate $5 for each unit purchased.
Proceeds will go toward Image Reborn Foundation, which organizes retreats for women diagnosed with breast cancer. Each set of the flexible lashes will cost $26.99, which the company says spread awareness in a fun way.
The people behind CarLashes also have a personal connection to the illness.
"After losing my mother to breast cancer, I had to find a way to help," Robert Small, inventor of CarLashes, said in a statement. "Pink ribbons have promoted breast cancer awareness for years. I realized pink CarLashes could be just like pink ribbons. They could provide millions of new exposures to raise awareness for breast cancer."
Image Reborn's next trip is to the Stein Eriksen Lodge in Utah and will take place in early October. The retreats are offered free of change to breast cancer patients. The goal of the organization is to strengthen spirits to help with healing.Whizzco
