The University Of Texas Is Offering Students A “Taylor Swift Course” This Fall

You can learn almost anything at a university, and the University of Texas at Austin is doing its part to prove it.

They are offering a class this fall about Taylor Swift, and it is sure to attract some attention.

An English professor, Elizabeth Scala will be teaching the class to first-year undergraduates in the liberal arts honors program.

It is entitled: “Literary Contests and Contexts-The Taylor Swift Songbook.”

A Facebook post by the UT Department of English describes a class, saying that it “provides an introduction to literary studies and research methods that uses the songwriting of @taylorswift as the basis for teaching a wide range of skills

If Taylor Swift isn’t your speed, you have another opportunity to take a course based on the celebrity musician at the University.
