You've got cancer…

Proper BCS greatergood_ctg_belowtitle

Nobody ever wants to hear those words, and on October 26, 2010 it became my reality. I knew something wasn’t right when my left nipple started retracting inward. A biopsy confirmed it, stage III Invasive ductile carcinoma with no lymph node involvement. 2011brought a busy schedule for me, 4 rounds of chemo (tac), a double mastectomy/immediate reconstruction, 33 rounds of radiation and now hormone therapy. Throughout my journey, I’ve been blessed with a very caring medical staff and a support network like no other. My promise then was to pay it forward, and sadly I’ve already had to enact upon my promise two times. Being there for others is such a rewarding experience and if going through this battle gave me that gift, I accept it wholeheartedly. Never give up the HOPE, fight the fight and win the battle, for it truly makes you stronger.
